About
I have been a photographer for over 30 years and enjoy all types of photography. I particularly enjoy the beauty of photographing flowers and landscapes as well as the imagery provided by black and white photography which provides a strong visual impact, simplicity and elegance. As a health care researcher, photography provides me with a wonderful opportunity to express my vision of a moment in time, a particular place or object, and people I have met. I also have become interested in contemplative photography and look forward to sharing my photos with viewers as I continue to expand my perspective and visual interpretation of new images.
Some of the images have been made using the Olympus OMD-EM1 camera and more recent photos have be made with the Sony Rx10 or Sony a7R. Earlier images were shot with the Nikon D300 or a Mamiya 645 film camera. I reside in Massachusetts and extensively photograph in New England and the East Coast. I have photographed fine art photography for a local not-for-profit television station and have also been photographing events for several not-for profit organizations. I am a member of the Photographic Society of America and the Art League Rhode Island. I have successfully taught a number of photography classes and have had my photographs appear in a number of juried art exhibitions in New England, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
